Position Overview

W Talent is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an experienced engineering team operating on a Continental shift pattern. This role is ideal for an engineer with either an electrical or mechanical bias who is comfortable performing both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs across a range of production machinery. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance in line with the site's maintenance schedule.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults.
• Maintain and improve the performance and reliability of production machinery.
• Collaborate closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Complete maintenance records accurately and update the site's maintenance management system.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with health and safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement activities to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
• Assist with root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring faults.
• Contribute to maintaining high engineering standards across the manufacturing facility.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
• Previous maintenance engineering experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
• Electrical or mechanical bias with multi-skilled maintenance capabilities.
• Experience in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• A proactive attitude with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
