Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for both reactive and preventative maintenance across a busy manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities will include electrical and mechanical fault finding, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and effectively in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance activities across site equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Dynamic Risk Assessments.
- Manage and action Engineering Reports through the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Accurately update all maintenance activities and completed work within the CMMS.
- Communicate effectively with Planning Teams, Shift Managers, Engineering Supervisors, and the Engineering Manager regarding machine status and repair progress.
- Ensure detailed shift reports are completed to outline all engineering activities undertaken.
- Liaise with machine manufacturers and technical support teams when additional fault diagnosis assistance is required.
- Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed within the required daily, weekly, and monthly timeframes.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within the maintenance workshop and engineering stores.
- Record and manage spare parts usage, ensuring stock is reordered when necessary.
- Support continuous improvement activities to enhance machine reliability and efficiency.
Key Requirements
- Engineering qualification.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Electrical fault-finding experience.
- Mechanical fault-finding experience.
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance systems and processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures within manufacturing environments.
Advantageous Requirements
- Previous experience using CMMS systems.
- Experience in FMCG or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
- 18th Edition electrical qualification.
- PLC fault-finding experience.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 3-shift rotating
