Roche Switzerland bridges the gap between pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, with crucial research and development functions located here. We are partnering with our long-term client, F. Hoffmann-La Roche AG in Basel, to seek a talented individual for the position of Operator MAB.

Background

To support the timely introduction of Ocre in 2026 and the production of clinical and PPQ batches, we require operational support within the manufacturing environment for large molecules (MAB). The Operator will focus on upstream processing (USP), with activities commencing in March 2026 and concluding by the end of Q1 2027. The role will involve shift work under the 6/4 shift model.

Preferred qualifications include education in scientific or technical fields such as pharmaceutical technology, biotechnology, or chemistry, along with experience in the purification of large molecules or extensive professional experience in related areas.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Weighing of raw materials
• Sampling
• Laboratory work, including cell count, pH measurements, etc.
• Supporting plant maintenance activities
• Cleaning
• Material management in local storage areas

Must Haves

• A minimum vocational degree; a technical background and manual skills are required, ideally as a Biotechnologist
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmaceutical/GMP production environment
• Ability to perform physical work, including weighing processes and handling raw materials
• Basic MS Office skills and experience working with MES/PLS (electronic documentation systems)
• Fluency in German (minimum B2 level) in both speaking and writing
• Strong teamwork skills
