Tasks

The Local Station Engineer BOS is responsible for:

  • Performing maintenance on SWISS and customer airline aircraft according to authorization privileges.
  • Ensuring planned, scheduled, and unscheduled work is performed in accordance with approved data, while communicating any unachieved work to the supervisor.
  • Conducting line maintenance up to weekly-check on A330, A343/6, A350, A380, B747, and B787 aircraft.
  • Performing pre-flight, ETOPS, daily, and weekly checks as required.
  • Issuing the "Certificate of Release to Service" (CRS).
  • Executing troubleshooting in accordance with licensed privileges.
  • Providing AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support.
  • Handling administrative duties associated with the line maintenance office.
  • Participating in other duties as assigned.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • EASA Part-66 B1 aircraft maintenance license or ICAO type II license (FAA), including type ratings trained by EASA Part-147 organization on Airbus A330/A343 is a must; additional type ratings such as A346, A350, A380, B747-400/-8, and B787 would be desirable.
  • Work experience in line maintenance.
  • Willingness to work in a shift pattern.
  • Willingness for short-term training assignments in Europe.
  • Strong decision-making skills even under time pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills within a multicultural environment.
  • A good team player with a sense of responsibility and social competence.
  • Fluent in English; German is an advantage.
  • Legally entitled to work in the U.S.
