Position: Local Division Controller High Speed Switzerland
As the Local Division Controller for High Speed in Switzerland, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial statements and maintaining financial integrity in alignment with all internal and external regulations. You will orchestrate the local budget and forecast processes in collaboration with business stakeholders. Acting as a business partner, you will support management with analytics and state-of-the-art dashboards that align with the strategic objectives of the High Speed division.
Your Responsibilities
- Secure the budget process and ensure that strategic goals are accurately reflected in the budgets for the High Speed Division in Switzerland.
- Execute month-end reporting and closing activities, perform financial statement reviews, analysis, and prepare explanatory materials along with proposed actions.
- Conduct regular reviews of balance sheet items, assess provisions and accruals, particularly for warranty and stock.
- Develop templates and provide supporting analysis to measure financial business performance, aiding the Division in resource allocation, cost savings, NWC, and inventory optimization.
- Take responsibility for cost monitoring and implementing cost reductions (e.g., SG&A, travel, and entertainment).
- Contribute to the strategic planning process, including the 5-year plan for the Division.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to derive accurate business forecasts (monthly, semi-annually, annually, and for 18 months) as input to global High Speed forecasts.
- Work alongside Product Management to ensure transparent product cost controlling and planning, as well as monitoring customer profitability and creating improvement plans.
- Monitor legal risk for the global Division High Speed.
- Ensure correct revenue recognition and compliance with internal controls.
- Provide input for risk reviews and investment proposals to Division management.
- Oversee factory controlling in terms of budgeting, cost monitoring, utilization, absorption, and productivity.
- Supervise capital investments and monitor ongoing CAPEX investments from a financial perspective.
- Engage in project work within and beyond the High Speed Division.
Your Background
- Sound education in Finance and Controlling with experience in an international business environment.
- Over 6 years of experience in a controlling/accounting function.
- A structured and results-oriented controller focused on internal controls and processes.
- Demonstrated analytical and cross-cultural communication skills.
- High level of coordination and communication skills to secure and interpret relevant financial information.
- Strong knowledge and experience in SAP (FI and CO, SD modules) and MS Office (Excel, PPT, etc.), along with proficiency in additional software such as Copilot (AI).
- Proven problem-solving skills, approaching challenges with an open mind and a persistent solution orientation.
- Fluent in both German and English.
