The Legal Team

The Legal team not only leads the preparation of all transaction-related documentation but also plays a critical supporting role in developing commercial concepts, managing transactions, and delivering contracted rights. Internally, the team also addresses aspects of contracts and compliance.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the Legal and Leadership teams across a variety of media, broadcast, and operational projects, including providing advice on the exploitation of media rights related to UEFA Men’s Club Competitions.
  • Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing media rights agreements and other commercial rights-related legal documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with Sales to assist in designing and delivering fast-moving sales processes primarily related to media rights, offering clear and solutions-focused legal advice.
  • Contributing to the development, evolution, and ongoing management of TEAM’s legal documentation, with a specific focus on media rights agreements and tender documentation.
  • Maintaining and developing TEAM’s legal knowledge portfolio to ensure that materials are accurate, accessible, and current.
  • Monitoring legal developments in key markets, supporting legal research, and coordinating with external counsel as necessary.
  • Building and maintaining effective business relationships across the organization and with clients and global stakeholders.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess a university degree and a professional qualification that qualifies you to practice law. Additionally, you should have at least two to three years of post-qualification experience, with strong skills in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, especially in media rights.

You should feel comfortable operating within the sports industry, maintaining high standards of integrity and confidentiality. Experience in a broader range of media-related matters, including sponsorship and service agreements, is an advantage.

The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing workloads according to business and client priorities is essential. You should work proactively, exercise sound judgment, and make well-considered decisions as required.

Location and Application

This position can be based in either TEAM’s Lucerne or London office and may involve some international travel.
