Job Purpose

Aiglon College aims to provide a challenging and transformational holistic education within a supportive framework. We are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work primarily with students in Years 7 and 8. Previous experience in an international school context is highly desirable, and the position is expected to entail approximately 20-30 hours of work per week, during term time.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

The Learning Support Assistant will be responsible for:

  • Supporting teaching staff in the development and education of pupils, including the provision of specialist skills as necessary.
  • Assisting students—individually or in groups—with their learning activities.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with pupils to contribute to their social and emotional development.
  • Supporting pupils with specific needs in accordance with the guidance of the school.
  • Assisting the teacher(s) with planning, evaluation, and maintaining a conducive learning environment.
  • Supporting the maintenance of pupils’ safety, behaviour management, and record-keeping.
  • Engaging with parents and contributing to the effectiveness of team work within the school environment.
  • Promoting the school’s ethos and ensuring the welfare and safeguarding of all children.

Other Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will also understand and implement all school policies related to safeguarding and uphold the ethos of Aiglon at all times. Additional tasks may be assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the team.
