At the ETH Zurich Media and Methods Lab, we don't work in silos; we work in close co-design. Game designers, storytellers, programmers, and educational experts all collaborate effectively. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a dynamic individual eager to develop innovative learning experiences "hands-on" – from the initial idea to finished prototyping – with a focus on exciting new formats for the ETH Heilbronn location.
About the Position
As part of the Media and Methods Lab (MML) within the Unit for Teaching and Learning at ETH Zurich, you will design and create future-oriented, interactive teaching and learning experiences in multidisciplinary teams for ETH Zurich, focusing primarily on the virtual development of the new ETH Campus Heilbronn. The position is initially limited until the end of 2026, with the potential for extension.
We are looking for someone who:
- Develops didactic concepts for digital media with a focus on Mixed/Virtual Reality and digital cooperation
- Actively implements virtual modules in co-design – from the idea through prototyping to implementation – to create innovative learning experiences in collaboration with the multidisciplinary MML team (Audiovisual Media Design, Storytelling, Game Design, Programming) and various ETH departments
- Takes charge of flexible project management and the organization of sub-projects while contributing new ideas and developments
- Has in-depth expertise in Learning Design (didactic integration of media, authoring tools, interaction)
- Brings practical experience in the production of digital learning modules at the university level
- Presents experience in the planning, structuring, development, and implementation of learning modules
- Demonstrates genuine interest in scientific topics and interdisciplinary ways of working
- Possesses proficient communication skills in both German and English
- Holds teaching experience and/or a formal teaching qualification
- Exhibits an agile mindset, a quick learning ability, and a strong interest in media and tech developments
- Has a university degree in a relevant field
- A Plus: Knowledge of UI/UX Design or Interaction Design, along with familiarity and interest in using AI tools daily
