The Role

As the Head of Scientific Integrity & Evidence, you will oversee the scientific foundation behind Nierika’s programs and communications. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that all of our services and communications are grounded in rigorous, evidence-based approaches, while remaining accessible and meaningful to a diverse audience.

You will serve as a key interface between biomedical research, scientific communication, and experiential wellness, contributing to the design, evaluation, and continuous improvement of our services. A core aspect of your role will involve creating high-quality scientific content for public audiences—including social media—and collaborating with clinics and research institutions to explore and support research initiatives related to the role of mescaline and traditional medicine in human health, always within ethical and legal boundaries.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead scientific validation, fact-checking, and content review across all programs and communications.
  • Develop and produce clear, engaging, and evidence-based scientific content, including materials for social media and educational purposes.
  • Translate complex biomedical concepts into accessible language for a diverse audience.
  • Support and review wellness protocols, such as breathwork, burnout prevention, and retreat-based experiences.
  • Collaborate with clinics, researchers, and partner institutions on scientific and translational initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of research directions that explore the role of mescaline in human health, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal frameworks, including our research entity in Mexico.

Ideal Requirements

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g., Cell & Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Medicine, or a related discipline).
  • Strong background in translational or experimental biomedical research.
  • Proven ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both in writing and speaking.
  • Demonstrated experience in scientific writing, research evaluation, and critical analysis.
  • Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments, such as research teams or cross-functional projects.
  • Experience engaging with communities, stakeholders, or real-world impact projects, including public health, program management, or outreach.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Interest in holistic health, wellness, and human transformation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with translational research or in clinical contexts.
  • Background in public health, community-based work, or social impact initiatives.
  • Familiarity with psychedelic science, mental health, or integrative medicine.
  • Experience working across multidisciplinary or cross-cultural environments.
  • Background in science communication, publishing, or teaching.

Details

  • Remote position (with potential involvement in retreats, if desired).
  • Part-time: 40% commitment.
  • 1-year contract.
