Position Overview

The Lead Process Excellence is responsible for supporting DePuy Synthes’s separation and standardization of our core business processes and products across the Plan, Source, Make, Quality, and Deliver streams. This role requires knowledge in Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, and Master Data processes, along with demonstrated experience in leading a complementary team of experts to meet timeline, scope, and objectives. The Lead Process Excellence collaborates with business teams, technology teams, domain experts, and other functions to gain a deep understanding of as-is business needs and capabilities, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and consistent process documentation through various programs.

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the master data team to ensure data configuration meets business capability needs.
  • Develop and deploy Process Deviation & Data Quality Scorecards and improvement action plans for site owners.
  • List exceptional physical and financial/transactional archetypes and develop action plans/decision logs for remediation.
  • Partner with the business adoption team to ensure organizational change, business readiness, site readiness, and training are delivered to meet business needs.
  • Engage with internal (Osprey teams) and external benchmark partners (e.g., Deloitte/SAP) to ensure industry standard methodology and future capabilities from SAP are adopted into the DePuy Synthes template design.
  • Identify and communicate project risks and issues, proposing solutions as necessary.
  • Understand and apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in daily interactions with the team.
  • Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
  • Follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety, and Environmental practices as applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a supply chain or manufacturing-related function.
  • FPX, APICS CPIM knowledge is desirable.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project System, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • SAP and preferably PLM system implementation knowledge.
  • Process re-engineering knowledge.
  • Demonstrated management skills such as communication, organization, people management, change management, and networking.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone company, operating as DePuy Synthes.
