Led by Prof. Yohei Yamauchi, the Laboratory of Molecular Medicine is excited to announce a transformative phase in the development of the ViViD-AFM V2.0—a next-generation nano-imaging system. This project aims to bridge the gap between academic prototypes and commercial-grade industrial systems while ensuring complete IP independence from legacy V1.0 patents.
We are in search of a visionary Lead Mechatronics Engineer to spearhead the design and development of the V2.0 system in collaboration with the Lead Architect. This critical Hire will focus on the physical realization of a high-speed AFM system tailored for biological research.
This position represents a unique bridge between high-level academic research at ETH Zurich and the dynamic environment of a high-tech startup. You will have the chance to lead the architectural development of a system poised to redefine nano-imaging. We foster a collaborative atmosphere and will support your transition into the spin-off phase. ETH Zurich also offers assistance with permit processes (e.g., B-Permit sponsorship) for international candidates.
