Your Mission
- Lead the development of disruptive processes to enable unprecedented novel product performance and enhance efficient, sustainable, and agile manufacturing.
- Act as the expert in your team, translating process and product ideas into scalable manufacturing technologies.
- Utilize your interdisciplinary mechanical and process engineering expertise to create new manufacturing solutions, drawing inspiration from various industries to break boundaries in ease, speed, agility, and sustainability.
- Embrace an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on mentality, working independently and flexibly on challenging projects from concept to practical implementation and scale-up.
- Provide innovative solutions to seemingly insurmountable problems while managing relationships with our key development, engineering, and production partners.
- Pursue continuous innovation to push the boundaries of materials, technology, and processes while maintaining a holistic view of the project.
Your Story
- Proven experience in executing end-to-end development projects.
- Demonstrated success in robotics, automating processes, or image processing for robot control.
- Advanced knowledge in practical mechanical engineering, robotics (operation and maintenance), automation, polymers, or related fields. Experience with digital inkjet printing (GIS software) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the application of colors and graphics, along with the ability to assess the quality and accuracy of print results.
- Strong expertise in robotics (programming and deployment), machine learning, and vision, combined with an affinity for (graphic) design.
- Solid experience with 3D CAD tools; experience with computational design tools is a plus.
- An innovative mindset with a drive to push the boundaries of product and process engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience as a robotics engineer in the tech industry or a similar field.
- Experience collaborating with external development partners to develop and scale new manufacturing technologies.
- Skills in employing industrial robots to facilitate quick integration into our current workflow (required for at least this year).
- Ability to independently manage tight deadlines across multiple projects, requiring both innovative thinking and engineering problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills and adaptability in communication style between engineers, designers, product experts, and cross-functional partners unrelated to product creation.
