Your Mission

Job Description

  • Technical Direction: Define and maintain the technical direction for Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls (EIC) across all Climeworks projects, ensuring plant designs are fit for purpose.
  • Standards & Compliance: Develop, update, and enforce EIC engineering standards, specifications, and guidelines to ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Design Oversight: Provide technical oversight and approval of EIC design deliverables, including power distribution, control system architecture, and instrumentation design.
  • System Reliability & Innovation: Lead initiatives to improve reliability and performance of EIC systems, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures while evaluating and introducing emerging technologies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the primary EIC interface with process, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure integrated designs and support project teams with estimates of scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Team Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Supervise and coach junior team members, provide guidance on technical challenges, and drive lessons-learned sessions to promote continuous improvement.

Your Story

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, with 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Preferred Background: Ideally, experience in gas processing, mining, minerals processing, water treatment, or equivalent heavy industries.
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in low and medium voltage electrical systems, industrial instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders, including third-party vendors.
  • Working Style: Highly organized, able to plan and prioritize tasks effectively, and comfortable in fast-paced environments.
  • Language Skills and Travel: Fluent in English with an openness to occasional travel.
