Job Title: Lead Design Engineer Harness
The Lead Design Engineer Harness will be responsible for:
- Leading the design, development, and production of aircraft electrical schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams.
- Liaising with suppliers of cables, connectors, and associated materials for aircraft use of selected parts.
- Advising on technical and certification risks while suggesting solutions based on experience with selected electrical cable and harness components.
- Supporting aircraft build and test activities from an electrical system cable and harness design perspective.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in electrical system cable and harness development and installation for fixed or rotary wing platforms.
- Experience in the development and production of 2D aircraft installation and sub-assembly drawings, as well as 3D harness routing and installations.
- Familiarity with EASA and/or FAA certification requirements.
- Knowledge of cables, connectors, and harness design and qualification requirements.
- Proficiency in aircraft 2D software tools; NX knowledge is an asset, and Capital Logic knowledge is a plus.
- Familiarity with aircraft 3D software design tools for harness routing and installation; NX knowledge is an asset.
- Experience with Team Center is an asset.
- English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level (written and spoken).
