Job Opportunity: Lead Design Engineer - Harness
We are seeking a talented and experienced Lead Design Engineer to take charge of the design, development, and production of aircraft electrical schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams. This role is crucial for ensuring our aircraft systems meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and production of electrical schematic diagrams and wiring diagrams for aircraft.
- Collaborate with suppliers regarding cables, connectors, and associated materials for aircraft.
- Assess technical and certification risks, providing solutions based on experience with electrical cable and harness components.
- Support aircraft manufacturing and testing from an electrical system design perspective.
Qualifications & Experience
- University Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in developing and installing electrical systems cabling and harnesses for fixed or rotary-wing platforms.
- Proven experience in creating 2D aircraft installation and sub-assembly drawings and 3D harness routing and installations.
- Familiarity with EASA and/or FAA certification requirements.
- Solid understanding of cables, connectors, harness design, and qualification standards.
- Experience with:
- Aircraft 2D software tools; knowledge of NX is an asset, and familiarity with Capital Logic is a plus.
- Aircraft 3D software design tools for harness routing and installation; NX knowledge is an asset.
- Team Center usage is an asset.
- Proficient in English, with a minimum B2 level in both written and spoken communication.
