Laboratory Technician - Contract - Hamilton, Montana

Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support quality control operations in the pharmaceutical and immuno-oncology space. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong scientific background and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in performing laboratory testing and sampling to ensure product quality and compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting sampling and testing using established methodologies, ensuring results are accurate and defensible.
- Demonstrating understanding of scientific principles and method validation for assigned assays.
- Reviewing GMP assay data and communicating findings effectively to manufacturing teams.
- Prioritizing tasks and making decisions with minimal supervision.
- Participating in laboratory investigations and problem-solving activities.
- Supporting non-routine tests, studies, or projects as needed.
- Assisting in the qualification, operation, and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring functionality and compliance with validation requirements.
- Escalating issues related to equipment or assays promptly.
- Adhering to current GMP regulations and quality systems, promoting a quality-focused mindset.
- Communicating concerns, issues, and best practices in a professional manner.
- Supporting site operations and contributing to operational excellence initiatives.
- Performing additional departmental duties as assigned by management.
- Following safety and environmental guidelines, including handling hazardous waste in compliance with protocols.
- Maintaining inspection readiness in the area of responsibility.
Skills & Requirements
- Strong scientific education to understand testing concepts, principles, and mathematical calculations.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and general computer skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility to work shifts, holidays, and weekends as required.
- Capability to work in manufacturing labs and open office environments.
