Job Opening: Laboratory Technician / Logistician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician / Logistician to support our daily lab operations. This role involves various tasks, including buffer/media preparation, basic cell culture, equipment maintenance, and logistics, to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers, solutions, media, agar plates, aliquots, and basic DNA/plasmid materials.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance (biosafety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, pipettes, flow cytometers, HPLC, Biacore).
- Maintain a clean, compliant, and well-organized lab environment.
- Support mammalian and bacterial cell culture (maintenance, expansion, cryopreservation, colony picking, basic QC).
- Manage consumables inventory, receive and store deliveries, and restock supplies.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to workflow and process improvements.
Education and Desired Experience
- CFC Biology Laboratory Technician (or equivalent) required.
- Independent, organized, and collaborative working style.
- Strong proficiency in English and French.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and respect for safety and hygiene.
- Methodical, focused, and professional demeanor.
- Prior laboratory experience (academic or industry) is an advantage.
