Our Instrumental Analytics department is a vital segment of Reagent Research and Design. We develop, validate, and implement a diverse range of analytical methods utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as Liquid Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, digital PCR, and FTIR microscopy. In addition to routine operations, we engage in research initiatives that explore and evaluate novel approaches. We are seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician (Research Assistant) who thrives in a hands-on, multi-technology environment. This role offers the opportunity to work with various analytical platforms and expand your technical expertise across a multitude of instruments while collaborating with a team that prioritizes reliability, curiosity, and practical problem-solving.

The Ideal Candidate

The perfect candidate has completed training as a Laboratory Technician or holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or an equivalent field, accompanied by 2-3 years of laboratory experience. You possess a curious and open mind, enjoy thinking beyond conventional methods, and embrace new ideas. Effective communication in English is essential, and familiarity with statistical data analysis and German language skills would be advantageous.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Plan analysis with support from supervisory staff
• Prepare standards and samples
• Perform experiments on different instruments
• Conduct data analysis with guidance from supervisory staff
• Document experimental results
• Escalate issues when processes deviate from the plan
• Recommend next steps based on generated data
• Drive efforts to enhance efficiency within work packages
• Organize and manage time effectively within the scope of assigned work packages
• Order and maintain stock of materials

Must Haves

• Completed Education as Lab Technician (Analytical Chemistry / Chemistry / Molecular Biology / Biotechnology) or equivalent
• Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in a laboratory environment within academic research or industry (Pharma, MedTech)
• Initial experience with Liquid Chromatography (preferably PCR)
• Basic experience in statistical data analysis & evaluation
• Fluency in English
• Strong commitment to practical lab work
• Able to think multi-directionally
• A collaborative team player

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of GxP
• Proficiency in German
