Job Opportunity: Laboratory Technician / Logistician
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician / Logistician to support daily lab operations. The successful candidate will be involved in various tasks, including buffer and media preparation, basic cell culture, equipment maintenance, and logistics to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
Responsibilities
- Prepare buffers, solutions, media, agar plates, aliquots, and basic DNA/plasmid materials.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including biosafety cabinets, incubators, centrifuges, pipettes, flow cytometers, HPLC, and Biacore.
- Maintain a clean, compliant, and well-organized lab environment.
- Support mammalian and bacterial cell culture, including maintenance, expansion, cryopreservation, colony picking, and basic quality control.
- Manage consumables inventory, receive and store deliveries, and restock supplies as necessary.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Contribute to workflow and process improvements.
Education and Desired Experience
- CFC in Biology Laboratory Technician (or equivalent) is required.
- Independent, organized, and collaborative working style.
- Proficiency in both English and French.
- High attention to detail, reliability, and respect for safety and hygiene.
- Methodical, focused, and professional demeanor.
- Prior lab experience (academic or industry) is advantageous.
