The Hausmann group, part of the Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health at ETH Zürich, is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician/Manager to join our dynamic research team. Our group focuses on understanding the interactions between the intestinal epithelium, immune cells, and intestinal microbiota to maintain intestinal homeostasis and combat diseases such as infections and chronic inflammation.
This position is available at a commitment level of 50-100% and requires a completed MSc or relevant apprenticeship. Our team enjoys regular group discussions and one-on-one meetings, as well as opportunities to contribute to collaborative research projects both within and outside our group. As a member of our team, you will benefit from access to advanced facilities and a vibrant network of microbiology, immunology, and epithelial cell biology experts at ETH and UZH.
You will play a vital role in our ongoing research into the mechanisms that regulate intestinal homeostasis. The starting date for this position is flexible, with a preference for no later than March 2026.

The Mucosal Crosstalk group led by Dr. Annika Hausmann is part of the Mucosal Immunology lab, directed by Prof. Emma Slack, within the Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health, under the Department for Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) at ETH Zurich. Our team of engineers, materials scientists, biochemists, and biologists collaborates to tackle pressing societal issues, including microbiota-associated and chronic inflammatory diseases.
