Laboratory Technician

Percentage: 50%-60%, Location: Zurich, Type: Fixed-term

The Laboratory of Neuroepigenetics is a prominent biology research group at the University of Zürich (UZH) and ETH Zürich. Our mission is to conduct fundamental research to understand how childhood experiences can modify the brain and body, and the consequences of this on physiology, behavior, and health. We focus on adverse conditions such as traumatic stress and poor diet, investigating the cellular and molecular mechanisms that link these conditions to diseases in both exposed individuals and their descendants.

Utilizing mouse and cellular models, our lab employs a diverse range of experimental approaches, including cloning, cell culture, cell imaging, behavioral testing, and bioinformatics. Our team comprises researchers, doctoral and postdoctoral students, and technical staff who work collaboratively on various complementary research projects. Additionally, we offer educational opportunities for undergraduate students from UZH and ETH Zürich.
