Lab Technician Assay Development (m/f/d)

Project Overview
We are seeking a qualified Lab Technician for Assay Development to join our esteemed client, Roche Diagnostics International AG, located in Rotkreuz. The Assay Development team is pivotal in crafting molecular diagnostic and screening tests based on PCR technology, focusing on infectious diseases, genomics, and oncology from early feasibility to commercial launch.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will be involved in various stages of assay development, ensuring our products meet stringent manufacturing and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with teams across Research, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, and Business to translate innovative ideas into tangible solutions that fulfill patient needs.
The Perfect Candidate
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications and experience:
- Graduate as a Biomedical Analyst Scientist (BMA HF) or completed apprenticeship as a Lab Technician in Biology, Medical Diagnostics, or Chemistry.
- A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience (preferably in Molecular Biology/PCR) with data analyses and biostatistics.
- Proficient in MS Office and excellent documentation skills.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of German is a plus.
- A proactive team player with an open-minded approach and organized work style.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-throughput laboratory analysis.
- Perform routine laboratory work on infectious samples, leading your own experiments and their analysis.
- Plan and execute various work packages aimed at developing molecular diagnostic tests.
- Participate in project meetings and present experimental data.
- Document experiments precisely using electronic lab journals following GMP standards.
- Handle and maintain laboratory equipment.
- Perform statistical data analysis using a variety of software and tools (e.g., JMP).
- Author official documents, including Design History Files.
Requirements
Must-Haves:
- Graduation as a Biomedical Analyst Scientist (BMA HF) or apprenticeship as Lab Technician.
- Ideally over 2 years of relevant lab experience.
- Excellent and thorough documentation skills.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; German is an advantage.
- Open-minded, strategic thinker with a self-dependent approach.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in a biotechnical environment handling infectious samples (Biosafety Level 2).
- Experience in a GMP/GLP environment.
