Job Opportunity: Lab Operations Assistant
IBR Inc. is a Swiss boutique Contract Research Organization (CRO) operating GxP-compliant bioanalytical laboratories. We are dedicated to supporting international biopharmaceutical clients from early discovery through clinical development.
To ensure the smooth and compliant operation of our laboratories, we are looking for a permanent part-time Lab Operations Assistant who is highly organized, reliable, and experienced in regulated laboratory environments.
Your Role
As a Lab Operations Assistant, you will play a crucial operational role in managing laboratory infrastructure, samples, equipment, and documentation efficiently while adhering to regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with laboratory scientists, quality assurance, and management.
Your Responsibilities
- Sample and Reagent Management
- Receipt, labeling, registration, and documentation of samples and reagents
- Accurate management of sample and reagent inventories
- Preparation and shipment of samples in accordance with applicable regulations and protocols
- Laboratory Supplies and Inventory
- Monitoring stock levels of consumables and reagents
- Ordering and tracking supplies to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations
- Laboratory Equipment and Infrastructure
- Coordination and documentation of routine maintenance, calibration, and servicing
- Maintenance of complete and audit-ready equipment records
- Writing, updating, and reviewing equipment-related SOPs
- Documentation and Compliance
- GxP-compliant documentation of all activities (GLP, GCP, GMP as applicable)
- Maintenance of organized logs and records to support audits and inspections
Your Profile
- Education in Life Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (apprenticeship, associate, or bachelor’s degree)
- Strong organizational skills and a high level of accuracy and reliability
- Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and laboratory equipment
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with scientists and QA
- Prior experience in a regulated laboratory environment (GLP, GCP, GMP) is highly desirable
- Fluency in German (written and spoken)
- Good English communication skills (written and spoken)
