Project Overview
We are searching for a dedicated Lab Assistant (m/f/d) for our client, F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, at the Roche Diagnostics International (RDI) site in Rotkreuz. In this crucial role, you will assist R&D laboratories by ensuring cleanliness, safety, and the smooth operation of BSL-1 and BSL-2 labs, specifically focusing on BSL-2 environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine Cleaning: Responsible for regular cleaning and disinfection of BSL-1 and BSL-2 labs, following the hygiene operating instructions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities in compliance with good documentation practices.
- Waste Management: Manage waste registration in SAP and label according to relevant procedures. Collect and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Lab Coats Management: Collect used lab coats for laundry services and distribute clean lab coats in BSL-1 and BSL-2 areas.
- PPE and Consumables Restocking: Ensure PPE and lab consumables are replenished in labs and changeover areas.
- Equipment Operation: Operate dishwashers and autoclaves for cleaning lab glassware and trays/racks.
- Pipette Management: Collect and distribute pipettes for calibration in coordination with Equipment managers.
- Support Lab Managers: Assist during maintenance, calibration, or audits as needed.
- Additional Duties: Organize maintenance and transportation of unused equipment, alongside other responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications
Must-Haves:
- Willingness to work under various conditions, including handling potentially infectious biological materials.
- German – B2 and English – B2 proficiency.
- Proficient in MS Excel and Google Suite.
Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- A team player who is self-organized and motivated.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Completed apprenticeship in pharmaceuticals or diagnostics.
- Hepatitis B vaccination (can be provided by Roche).
- Relevant experience in a cleaning or laboratory environment.
