We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant starting August 2026, to join our team at the Winkel Day School for Special Needs.
Position Details
- Type: Permanent Employment
- Workload: 50%
- Workdays: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
- Location: Winkel, Day School for Special Needs
Your Responsibilities
- Assist the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals for children
- Support with the serving of food
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dishes, and work utensils
- Follow hygiene regulations consistently
- Help with the storage and control of food products
- Provide general support in kitchen operations
- Take over lunch preparation during short-term absences of the chef

What We Expect
- Experience in a kitchen or community catering is advantageous
- Experience in a restaurant kitchen or as a storage cook
- Comfort in engaging with children with intellectual disabilities
- Quick comprehension, reliability, and flexibility
- Good German language skills (minimum A2 level)
- Availability for short-notice assignments
- A reliable, clean, and independent work style
- Flexibility and resilience under pressure
