Proclinical is partnering with a well-established pharmaceutical company to recruit a Key Account Manager for its Neuroscience division, serving the London area. This commercially oriented role involves working closely with key NHS accounts to drive growth and enhance customer engagement, ultimately improving patient pathways, service capacity, and access to treatment.

Unlike traditional territory sales roles, this position places a strong emphasis on strategic account development, stakeholder influence, and the implementation of tailored solutions within complex NHS environments. You will forge strong relationships with healthcare professionals and broader NHS stakeholders, discover opportunities within individual accounts, and collaborate with internal and external teams to facilitate meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans across high-value NHS accounts in London.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance patient pathways, service delivery, and capacity.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals and develop clinical advocates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical, Marketing, Market Access, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Utilize account insights and business analytics to prioritize opportunities and drive growth.
  • Deliver tailored customer solutions through both face-to-face and digital engagement.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the therapy area, product offerings, and local NHS environment.
  • Operate compliantly within the ABPI Code of Practice.

Key Skills and Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in key account management, stakeholder engagement, and solution-based selling.
  • Previous experience in neuroscience is beneficial but not essential.
  • A proven track record of effectively influencing multiple stakeholders and implementing change in healthcare organizations is crucial.
  • Commercially driven, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously within a matrix team.
  • Strong planning, project management, and communication skills.
  • Able to understand complex customer needs and translate them into practical account strategies.
