Position
The Key Account Manager (KAM) serves as the primary point of contact for all assigned key accounts. This role is vital for achieving defined commercial targets while ensuring optimal return on investment through the negotiation, implementation, and evaluation of annual or multi-year agreements.
Responsibilities
As the Key Account Manager, you will:
- Create comprehensive customer plans to drive business growth, aligned with JTI's strategic priorities, including investment scenarios, assortment planning in collaboration with Marketing, and alignment with internal stakeholders across functions.
- Effectively execute the agreed account strategies and initiatives by leading key account negotiations, managing the full contracting process, and ensuring timely alignment with internal stakeholders.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of each assigned account, ensuring alignment with contractual agreements and the achievement of commercial targets.
- Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key accounts and their decision-makers, ensuring consistent communication, high-quality business support, and early alignment on strategic or operational changes.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Marketing, Legal, and the SI department, to support category development and joint business planning.
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant field.
- Solid experience in sales/marketing/trade marketing within the international FMCG sector, including Category and Key Account Management.
- Fluent in English and German; proficiency in French is considered an asset.
- Strong selling and negotiation skills, with an understanding of retailer finance.
- Proficient in MS Office, Power BI, and SAP.
