Join Our Team as a Key Account Manager
We are seeking a proven leader with a strong focus on sales support and project management, who possesses the ability to elevate customer relationships to the next level. You will be assigned to one of our global key customer areas, such as East Asia, India, or the Americas. In your designated area, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire process, from the initial customer or agent inquiry to equipment delivery and cash-in. Your role will involve fostering polymer markets to identify new business opportunities in your target area.
Your Exciting Job Opportunity
- Prepare quotations and process orders for all customers in your assigned area of responsibility.
- Influence customer buying decisions with your deep understanding of pump technology and the manufacturing business processes of MAAG customers.
- Travel occasionally (approximately 10-20%) to visit customers on-site and at headquarters.
- Lead your projects by monitoring and controlling costs, pricing, progress, milestones, and delivery dates. Resolve contractual deviations and challenges during both the offering and execution phases. Report on monthly commercial project results and business development, proposing corrective measures as necessary.
- Collaborate closely with various internal departments at MAAG and key suppliers.
- Participate in kick-off meetings, project meetings, customer inspections, rolling margin calculations, and discussions of terms and conditions.
Your Profile
- A higher degree in mechanical or chemical engineering; a business administration degree is a plus.
- Strong affinity for managing commercial topics pertaining to multimillion-dollar orders, coupled with excellent negotiation skills.
- Several years of experience in sales as well as back-office activities, preferably within petrochemical and polymer-producing sectors.
- A proven track record in business development outside of Europe, specifically in the polymer-producing chemical industry.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written), with a willingness to learn German. Proficiency in Gujarati or other Indian languages is an additional advantage.
