Join Our Team as a Key Account Manager
We are seeking a proven leader with a strong focus on sales support and project management, capable of elevating customer relationships to new heights. In this role, you will be assigned to one of our global key customer regions, such as East Asia, India, or the Americas. You will manage the entire process from the initial customer inquiry to equipment delivery and cash collection, while also fostering growth in the polymer markets within your target area.
Your Exciting Job Opportunity
- Prepare quotations and process orders for all customers within your designated area of responsibility.
- Influence customer buying decisions with your in-depth knowledge of pump technology and the manufacturing processes of MAAG customers.
- Occasional travel (approximately 10-20%) to visit customers on-site and at headquarters.
- Take the lead on projects by monitoring costs, pricing, progress, milestones, and delivery dates. Address any contractual deviations and challenges in the offer and order execution phases while reporting monthly on commercial project results and business developments, suggesting corrective measures as needed.
- Collaborate closely with various internal departments at MAAG and key suppliers.
- Participate in kickoff meetings, project meetings, customer inspections, rolling margin and post-cost calculations, and discussions regarding terms and conditions.
Your Profile
- A higher degree in mechanical or chemical engineering; a business administration degree is a plus.
- Experience managing commercial topics involving multimillion-dollar order values, along with strong negotiation skills.
- Several years of experience in sales and back-office activities, preferably within the petrochemical and polymer production sectors.
- A proven track record in business development outside of Europe within the polymer chemical industry.
- Fluent in English (both verbal and written) and eager to learn German. Proficiency in Gujarati or other Indian languages is a plus.
