Junior System Support Engineer

For our long-standing customer, Roche Diagnostics International AG in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Junior System Support Engineer.
Background
The RDS R&D organization operates globally, with international teams across various sites and countries, and is structured into four networks and four chapter areas. They are currently seeking a passionate, proactive, and eager-to-learn individual to fill the role of Junior System Support Engineer within the R&D Service chapter, located in Rotkreuz (CH).
In this junior role, you will be trained and mentored to become a key technical contributor within a cross-functional environment. You will support the team in maintaining and troubleshooting Roche Diagnostic Systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to post-launch.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert and primary point of contact for internal customers regarding all service aspects.
- Install Roche Diagnostics systems (hardware and software) according to installation manuals in the Roche Diagnostics Knowledge (RDK) database.
- Perform system qualifications (IQ/OQ), execute preventive maintenance, and conduct autonomous troubleshooting and repair of hardware and software issues.
- Manage the deployment and servicing of various systems and their specific configurations.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation in accordance with established quality standards.
- Provide technical support for global development trials.
Must Haves
- An academic degree in technical engineering (e.g., Medical Devices, Electronics/Automation, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering) or completed technical vocational training (e.g., mechatronic, electronics mechanic technician).
- 1-3 years of work experience during vocational training, for example as an automotive mechanic, service technician, or precision mechanic.
- Fluent in English and German.
- Strong logical thinking and a talent for troubleshooting technical problems across diagnostic hardware, software, or IT setups.
- A proactive, service-oriented team player with a strong desire to learn, ask questions, and develop hands-on skills in servicing diagnostic instruments.
Nice to Haves
- High willingness to learn and work within a highly regulated industry and in laboratories with biosafety levels S1 and S2 (training will be provided).
