Join Our Team as an Avaloq Technical Developer in Zurich

Are you at the beginning of your Avaloq career, certified, and eager to gain hands-on experience with Avaloq parameterization? We have an exciting opportunity for you in Zurich with a renowned private bank. This established Swiss institution operates in an international environment and has a strong focus on wealth management. The technology team is currently developing and enhancing various components of its Avaloq Core Banking Platform, specifically in trading and securities.

About the Role

As an Avaloq Technical Developer, you will engage directly with Avaloq Core, taking ownership of assigned components while gradually deepening your expertise in trading and STEX.

Key Responsibilities

• Avaloq Parameterization: Configure and adapt Avaloq Core components based on business and technical requirements.
• Development: Develop and maintain Avaloq functionality using Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, and related technologies.
• Component Ownership: Take responsibility for assigned Avaloq components and support them throughout their lifecycle.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Analyze technical issues, implement fixes, and support testing and releases.
• Trading & STEX: Build your knowledge of STEX, trading workflows, order processing, and related securities components.

Must-Haves

• Avaloq certification (e.g., ACCP / Avaloq Certified Customization Professional, Certified Avaloq Professional, or a comparable Avaloq technical certification).
• First hands-on experience working with Avaloq Core, ideally including parameterization or customization.
• Basic experience with Avaloq Script, PL/SQL, SQL, or comparable development technologies.
• Technical or quantitative education, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Willingness to relocate to Zurich/Switzerland if not already based there.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with STEX / Stacks or other trading and securities-related Avaloq components.
• Understanding of order management, transaction processing, or securities trading.
• Experience with additional Avaloq modules beyond Payments.
• Previous experience in banking, wealth management, or financial services.
