As a Junior Project Manager Factory Investments, you will lead the planning and execution of pivotal investment projects aimed at enhancing innovation and efficiency in our global production network. You will collaborate with seasoned project managers and factory experts to implement modern manufacturing technologies—such as automation, digitalization, and advanced machining processes—in high-mix, low-volume production environments. Your contributions will be vital to refining operational methods and driving our journey toward a sustainable future.

This role is perfect for recent graduates in mechanical or production engineering (e.g., ETH Zurich or similar technical universities) who are eager to apply their knowledge to real-world challenges and advance into future leadership roles. • Develop and apply deep expertise in production processes to drive innovation, automation, and digitalization, balancing productivity with operational stability.
  • Manage global, cross-functional teams throughout all project stages, including initiation, analysis, concept development, implementation, and final handover.
  • Build and manage high-performance project teams, establish effective governance structures, and coordinate work packages efficiently.
  • Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders—ensuring strong customer focus, continuous dialogue, and service excellence.
  • Develop relationships with external partners, such as suppliers, universities, and technology providers, to support project success.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and recommend emerging technologies and innovative processes to enhance factory operations.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and the adoption of best practices across the company; continually improve project management techniques and tools.

Your Background:

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production/Industrial Engineering (e.g., ETH Zurich or similar technical universities).
  • Initial hands-on experience in the machinery or metal manufacturing industry, ideally with the implementation of advanced technologies (e.g., cutting systems).
  • Initial experience in project management is an advantage.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a pragmatic, results-driven approach.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent conceptual skills and a proactive, solution-oriented, independent working style.
  • Strong communication skills across all levels and enthusiasm for collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Financial literacy to evaluate data and construct sound business cases for investments.
  • Team player with high self-motivation, curiosity, and a strong drive to continuously learn and improve.
  • Fluency in English and German (written and spoken).
