JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER
for our Biotech business
Our software engineers develop next-generation technologies to transform how biopharma digitizes and automates bioprocess development, fulfilling the crucial need to bring highly demanded new medications to patients. Lucullus® and our web applications are continually being refined to handle diverse information from countless sources within highly complex and dynamically evolving environments. We strive to maintain our leading position and significantly differentiate ourselves from other bioprocess solutions.
YOUR PROFILE
Among your responsibilities, you will:
- Contribute to backend development across the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Work closely with senior developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable backend solutions.
- Apply relevant design patterns and architectural principles to build clean and robust software.
- Follow coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines to ensure clean, secure, and efficient code.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance improvements.
- Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in backend development, and apply them where relevant in the project.
Among your skills and qualifications, you bring:
- 4+ years of experience in Java development.
- Very good knowledge of the Spring framework and RESTful services.
- Experience working on large projects with multiple SCRUM teams.
- Knowledge of database development (JDBC/Hibernate/JPA) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with design patterns and software architecture principles is a plus.
- Experience with frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js) is a plus.
- Experience with automation/communication protocols and (bio-)process engineering is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite is highly welcomed.
- You are goal-oriented, work well independently, and effectively collaborate with the team using your strong problem-solving skills in an international and intercultural setting.
- You communicate effectively in English.
