JAVA SOFTWARE ENGINEER

for our Biotech Business

Our software engineers are dedicated to developing next-generation technologies that revolutionize how biopharma digitalizes and automates bioprocess development, fulfilling its mission to deliver highly sought-after new medications to patients. Our flagship products, Lucullus® and our Web Applications, are continually refined to accommodate diverse information from a multitude of sources within complex and ever-evolving environments. YOUR PROFILE

Among your responsibilities, you will:

• Contribute to backend development throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate closely with senior developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, maintainable, and scalable backend solutions.
• Implement relevant design patterns and architectural principles to develop clean and robust software.
• Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and quality guidelines to ensure clean, secure, and efficient code.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance enhancements.
• Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in backend development, applying them as relevant to projects.

Among your skills and qualifications, you bring:

• 4+ years of experience in Java development.
• Strong knowledge of the Spring framework and RESTful services.
• Experience working on large projects with multiple SCRUM teams.
• Familiarity with database development (JDBC/Hibernate/JPA) is advantageous.
• Understanding of design patterns and software architecture principles is a plus.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js) is a bonus.
• Experience with automation/communication protocols and (bio-)process engineering is beneficial.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite is highly regarded.
• A goal-oriented mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication in an international and intercultural environment.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
