How You Can Make an Impact

The Solution Architect will engage in multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing the end-to-end design process from inception to delivery completion. This role offers exposure to diverse business challenges and collaboration with various subject matter experts, including third parties and implementation teams, to effectively address these challenges.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Providing technical leadership to define and articulate pragmatic and commercially viable solutions based on both functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ensuring comprehensive detail for all business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements to facilitate the progress of implementation teams.
• Addressing testing, release/transition, and operational/support/service considerations.
• Collaborating with the Enterprise Architecture team to ensure solutions align with business and technology strategies, negotiating minimal dispensations when reasonable.
• Leading and coordinating internal and external subject matter experts involved in solution design and implementation.
• Driving the implementation of approved solutions in close cooperation with subject matter experts and executing hands-on implementation as per guidance and design.
• Identifying quick wins or short-term transition architectures (e.g., a minimum viable product) that enable the prompt realization of business benefits at reduced risk, complexity, and cost.
• This role does not involve line management responsibilities.

Who We Are Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience in designing and delivering pragmatic and commercially viable solutions to business challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to define business, application, information/data, infrastructure, and security elements of a solution, along with handling functional and non-functional requirements.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate solutions to both senior and technical audiences.
• Capacity to work with and ensure quality output from subject matter experts, including third parties.
• 3-5 years of experience in one or more areas such as operating systems, system security, networking, compute, storage/backup, cloud computing, and database management (primarily Microsoft stack including Azure).
• Azure Cloud Architect certification or equivalent experience, along with working knowledge of DevOps tools, automation, and methodologies used in Cloud platform deployments.

Preferred:

• TOGAF accreditation or BCS Chartered Professional, or Fellow in Solution Development & Architecture.
• Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards (e.g., ISO27001, PCI-DSS).
• Ability to communicate in German, both orally and in writing.

You will be joining an already established Project Delivery team, which has made significant strides in bridging the gap between business and IT. The team consists of Project Managers, Business Relationship Managers, Solution Architects, and Business Change Management professionals.
