Summary

Role Purpose: Act as Isotope Project Lead (IPL) by providing specialist knowledge and expertise as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in radioisotope production and purification. This position focuses on assessing, developing, and optimizing new technologies that support Radioligand Therapy (RLT) products in Life Cycle Management (LCM).
In this role, you will develop, optimize, and transfer radioisotope production and purification/separation processes in close collaboration with relevant development centers and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs).
About the Role
Major Accountabilities:
- Manage inter-functional project plans and budgets using the Project Planning tools or systems.
- Identify issues and potential bottlenecks within projects and propose viable options.
- Contribute to Radioisotope Technical Research and Development (TRD)-related activities, ensuring constant technological surveys in the field of radioisotope production.
- Apply scientific and technical expertise to identify new programs of interest for the company and support their development from early evaluation to late-phase supply.
- Participate in development programs and activities around isotopes, adhering to the global Isotope strategy and objectives within agreed timelines and budgets, while reporting key advancements and challenges.
- Identify strategic external partners for activating research collaboration agreements to develop new production technologies and access innovative isotopes.
- Implement strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Establish and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements.
- Represent the area as a core member in Global Project Teams, defining global scientific strategies for development leading to submission and approval in major markets for the assigned products.
- Report technical complaints, adverse events, and special case scenarios related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.
Minimum Requirements:
- BSc in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or an equivalent scientific degree.
- Desirable MSc, PhD, or equivalent experience.
- Desirable degree in Radiochemistry with strong scientific knowledge in nuclear medicine.
- At least 5 years of directly related experience or a PhD or equivalent.
- Proven project leadership in all project phases.
- Strong understanding of Pharma, GMP, validation, and regulatory aspects.
- Extensive experience in data handling and applied statistics is essential.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment and risk management fundamentals/tools.
- Quality-oriented with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Experience in defining and implementing productivity improvement measures.
