About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Strengthen relationships with current shareholders by creating and executing key account plans while expanding the shareholder base through the identification of new potential targets.
- Leverage your financial and industry expertise to address inquiries from investors and analysts, providing accurate and balanced information on a variety of topics ranging from financial to product-specific matters. Deliver aligned messages that support the Novartis equity story.
- Ensure Swiss sell-side analysts have access to all relevant publicly available information necessary to maintain an accurate financial model for Novartis.
- Present the Novartis equity story in IR-only roadshows with confidence and clarity, while adhering to all disclosure rules and regulations.
- Plan and support the execution of senior management roadshows, bank conference participation, one-on-one meetings, and other investor events, including capital markets days (e.g., Meet Novartis Management, R&D Day).
- Train senior management on disclosure principles and external messaging as needed, offering guidance that can enhance management credibility externally.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on a key therapeutic area for our business. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate investor questions, gather relevant information, and shape our external messaging.
- Capture feedback from investors and analysts and relay this information to the IR team and senior management.
What You'll Bring to the Role
Essential Criteria:
- Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in Investor Relations or related functions (R&D, Commercial, Finance), or in sell-side research, investment banking, or asset management with a healthcare focus.
- Understanding of financial modeling.
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Ability to handle complex issues and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining relationships across all organizational levels.
- Fluency in both English and German, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Preferably an MD or PhD in a biomedical field and/or a CFA or degree in finance.
- Background in science.
