As part of the global Investor Relations Team, you will play a pivotal role in managing our dialogue with the Swiss financial community, thereby supporting a fair valuation of Novartis.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strengthen relationships with current shareholders through the creation and execution of key account plans, while expanding the shareholder base by identifying new potential targets.
  • Leverage financial and industry expertise to address inquiries from investors and analysts timely, providing accurate and balanced information on various topics, from financial details to product-specific inquiries. Deliver aligned messages that support the Novartis equity story.
  • Ensure Swiss sell-side analysts have access to all relevant, publicly available information that enables them to maintain accurate financial models for Novartis.
  • Present the Novartis equity story in IR-only roadshows clearly and confidently, adhering to all disclosure rules and regulations.
  • Plan and support the execution of senior management roadshows, bank conference participation, one-on-one meetings, and other investor events, including capital markets days (e.g., Meet Novartis Management, R&D Day).
  • Train senior management on disclosure principles and external messaging, providing guidance that enhances their credibility externally.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in one key therapeutic area for our business. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to anticipate investor questions, gather relevant information, and shape our external messaging.
  • Capture and relay investor/analyst feedback to the IR team and senior management.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

Essential Criteria:

  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, ideally in Investor Relations or related functions (R&D, Commercial, Finance), or in sell-side research, investment banking, or asset management with a healthcare focus.
  • Experience in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in managing multiple complex issues and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Fluency in both English and German, with excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • MD or PhD in a biomedical field and/or CFA or degree in finance.
  • Background in science.
