Your Responsibilities

  • Execute IP-based technology landscape analyses in various industry domains and present the findings to relevant project teams or business units.
  • Conduct novelty searches on new ideas and discuss the results with the respective inventor(s).
  • Familiarize yourself with the Datwyler patent application and prosecution process, gradually taking on a coordinating role in these processes, including serving as a point of contact with our external patent attorney office.
  • Support the engineering/sales teams and legal counsel in IP-related contract negotiations, such as development agreements, license agreements, tech-transfer agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Organize and conduct competitive patent analyses in conjunction with specific business units.

Our Requirements

  • Proficiency in patent search and analysis to create technology landscapes and perform novelty (patentability) evaluations.
  • Experience in or the ability to support contract negotiations is a plus (strong negotiation skills).
  • Enthusiasm for promoting the importance of intellectual property within the organization through training and communication skills.
  • Passion for technology and innovation.
  • A driven, analytical, and communicative personality.
  • Strong collaborative skills, with the ability to achieve results through formal and informal channels.
  • Fluency in English (C2 level written and oral); proficiency in German is an advantage.
