Position: Instrumentation & Electrics Professional (Afternoon and Evening)

The Instrumentation & Electrics Professional will be responsible for maintaining and repairing low voltage electrical systems and performing basic metrology tasks at the Lengnau facility. This role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of electrical systems and controls while supporting manufacturing operations in compliance with GMP standards. The working hours for this position are structured for afternoon and evening activities, specifically from 13:00 to 22:00, Monday through Friday.

Position Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Technical Responsibilities

  • Electrical System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on low voltage electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Basic Metrology Tasks: Conduct routine calibrations of electrical instruments, sensors, and equipment, adhering to SOPs and GMP standards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve electrical and metrology issues swiftly to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
  • Documentation: Document all maintenance and calibration activities in compliance with GMP standards.
  • Support Manufacturing: Assist in the maintenance of electrical systems and metrology equipment crucial to manufacturing operations, ensuring minimal production disruption.
  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and calibration activities adhere to GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with maintenance team leads and other members to coordinate maintenance and calibration activities and establish priorities.

Quality & EHSS Standards

  • Adhere to cGMP rules, Quality policies, procedures, and instructions as outlined by the Quality function and endorsed by site management.
  • Actively contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and deviation reporting.
  • Follow all general safety rules and policies as set forth by the EHSS function.
  • Engage in safety initiatives, near-miss reporting, and follow-up actions.

Position Qualifications

Education

  • Technical diploma or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field.
  • Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ) as an Electrician or equivalent certification recognized in Switzerland.
  • Additional certification in metrology or calibration is preferred.

Experience & Competences

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in instrumentation maintenance and calibration, ideally in a GMP manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and calibrate instrumentation and control systems.
  • Strong understanding of GMP standards and calibration practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and fixing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail in documenting activities to comply with GMP standards.
  • Physical capability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, walking, and lifting materials and equipment.
  • Able to work within cleanroom environments while adhering to all GMP and safety regulations.
  • Available to support the on-call team for 24/7 assistance.
