Purpose of the Role:
The role of Insights Manager transcends traditional reporting. It involves translating complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, optimize brand performance, and enhance customer engagement strategies. By integrating multiple data sources, the Insights Manager ensures a holistic view of the business, uncovering deeper commercial implications and emerging opportunities. This position proactively identifies opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities, leveraging AI-driven insights and advanced analytics to support brand and therapeutic area strategies. Responsibilities include developing predictive models, monitoring launch performance, and providing early indicators of market shifts, all aimed at ensuring commercial excellence through data-driven decision-making.

In addition, this role oversees the integrity, accuracy, and governance of analytics platforms, ensuring seamless and secure data flow. The Insights Manager drives the adoption of emerging technologies, pilots AI-driven solutions, and implements machine learning models that enhance strategic and operational decision-making. While managing operations in Hyderabad, they take full ownership of AI and analytics strategies, ensuring scalable and impactful solutions for the business.

This role is part of the Business Excellence & Execution team and reports directly to the Lead AI & Customer Excellence.

Major Accountabilities

The ideal candidate for the Insights Manager position is a strategic thinker with a strong analytical mindset. They must possess a blend of technical expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership skills to drive advanced analytics, optimize data infrastructure, and translate complex datasets into actionable business recommendations.

Strategic Insights & Decision Support

  • Translate complex data into meaningful insights that drive strategic decision-making, optimize brand performance, and refine customer engagement strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities, leveraging AI-driven insights and advanced analytics to support brand and therapeutic area strategies.
  • Provide a holistic view of the business by merging multiple data sources to uncover deeper commercial implications and emerging market opportunities.
  • Develop predictive models to anticipate market shifts, HCP engagement trends, and sales performance.

Performance Monitoring & Market Intelligence

  • Analyze market trends, competitor movements, and brand performance within the assigned therapeutic area.
  • Monitor product launches for early signs of performance variations, predicting uptake versus plan, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Deliver high-quality analytics reporting, integrating all relevant data sources for comprehensive reviews.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Insights and Engagement Manager to merge market intelligence with field performance data.

Data Strategy & AI-Driven Solutions

  • Oversee data architecture and infrastructure to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data flow.
  • Implement best practices for data quality and governance to ensure reliable analytics.
  • Design and scale AI-driven models and solutions to enhance commercial decision-making.
  • Drive the adoption of emerging technologies that add strategic or operational value.

Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Manage relationships with IT and external vendors to maintain and enhance analytics platforms.
  • Oversee operations in Hyderabad while retaining ownership of AI and analytics strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with all reporting guidelines and maintain analytics best practices.

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • A university degree (ideally a master’s) in Data Science, Business Management with a focus on analytics, or a related field.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in German (minimum B2) and French is a valuable asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science or business management with an analytics focus, preferably in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare industries.
  • Ability to connect data to business outcomes by identifying key trends and risks.
  • Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of market dynamics and customer engagement trends.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R; experience with data platforms like Snowflake is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to excel in fast-paced environments while managing multiple stakeholders.
