Innovation & Technical Marketing Manager - Polymers
Join our dynamic team as an Innovation & Technical Marketing Manager, specializing in polymers. We are looking for a skilled professional to lead our innovation initiatives and drive technical marketing strategies.
Responsibilities
Innovation & Technical Marketing (ITM)
- Manage the front-end innovation process in an agile manner, focusing on idea generation, screening, and portfolio management to achieve proof-of-concept.
- Collaborate with the Innovation Management & Partnership team on the Basket of Ideas (BoI) and Voice of Customers (VoC) programs, ensuring a continual influx of strong, market-ready ideas.
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of ideas, including technical and market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and assessments of potential benefits for Omya.
- Define technical value propositions and craft engaging technical marketing content such as presentations, white papers, and case studies.
- Develop value propositions and marketing strategies to support successful product launches.
- Facilitate training programs for Sales and Marketing teams, emphasizing the technical features, advantages, and benefits of products.
- Identify and address technical, commercial, and business model gaps within the portfolio, proposing innovative initiatives accordingly.
- Ensure optimal conversion of ideas within the pipeline.
Leading Without Authority
- Lead large, cross-functional project teams and engage with various stakeholders to meet established innovation objectives.
- Foster transparency within project teams to enhance engagement and collaboration.
- Encourage open knowledge sharing across functions, enabling team members to learn from one another.
- Cultivate a performance-oriented mindset and a culture of continuous growth.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, chemistry, or a relevant field. A master's degree in economics, business, or finance is advantageous.
- 5-10 years of relevant industry experience; international experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the global polymer market.
- Innovative mindset with a keen sense for unmet market needs and the market potential of developed solutions.
- Project management expertise with a proven record of successfully executing complex projects.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with project team members from diverse backgrounds and levels.
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills to drive results.
- Ability to take calculated risks and pursue new ideas with vigor.
- Fluency in both oral and written English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% of the time is required.
