Responsibilities
Innovation & Technical Marketing (ITM)
- Agile management of the front-end innovation process, including idea generation, screening, and portfolio management, to achieve proof-of-concept.
- Lead Basket of Ideas (BoI) / Voice of Customers (VoC) initiatives alongside the Innovation Management & Partnership team to ensure a robust development funnel filled with viable market ideas.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of ideas based on technical/market analysis, competitive benchmarking, alternative solutions, and potential benefits for our organization.
- Define compelling technical value propositions and create engaging marketing content such as presentations, white papers, and case studies.
- Develop marketing strategies and value propositions to facilitate successful product launches.
- Support training programs for Sales/Marketing teams, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of product technical features, advantages, and benefits.
- Identify gaps in technical, commercial, or business models within the portfolio, proposing innovative initiatives to address these shortcomings.
- Accountable for maximizing the conversion of ideas into a successful pipeline.
Leading Without Authority
- Lead cross-functional project teams and engage stakeholders to achieve established innovation goals.
- Foster transparency within project teams to enhance engagement and collaboration.
- Encourage open knowledge sharing across functions, enabling team members to learn from one another.
- Cultivate a performance mindset and a culture of growth within the team.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, chemistry, or a relevant field; a Master’s degree in economics, business, or finance is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant industry experience, with international exposure being a plus.
- Strong understanding of the global Polymer market.
- Innovative mindset with a keen sense of market needs and the value of developed solutions.
- Proven project management skills with a successful execution record of complex projects.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse project team members at various levels.
- Strong influencing and negotiation abilities to drive results.
- Ability to take calculated risks and aggressively develop new ideas.
- Excellent command of both oral and written English; additional language skills are an asset.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 40% of the time.
