As an Innovation Strategist, you will be a key strategic partner for our clients—guiding product development, uncovering new opportunities, and delivering solutions that create long-term value. This role combines deep innovation expertise with a strong commercial mindset, ensuring that customer needs are met while fostering business growth across new and existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Centric Innovation Leadership

  • Collaborate directly with customers to understand their product vision, challenges, and market goals.
  • Guide early-stage product scoping.
  • Translate customer insights into actionable development strategies that align with Koch’s capabilities.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned product categories.
  • Expand relationships with existing customers by introducing new solutions, technologies, and platforms.
  • Lead strategic account planning and opportunity pipeline development in collaboration with commercial and technical teams.

Concept Development & Modeling

  • Develop conceptual models and system architectures that reflect customer requirements and market trends.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and innovative approaches to co-create next-generation products with customers.

Innovation Scouting & Strategic Collaboration

  • Scout for new technologies, materials, and user experience features that can unlock customer growth.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships across Koch’s global network and external innovation ecosystems.

Cross-Functional Integration

  • Act as the bridge between customer stakeholders and internal Koch teams (R&D, regulatory, tooling, quality, supply chain).
  • Ensure seamless execution of development programs from concept to commercialization.

Voice of the Customer & Advocacy

  • Serve as the internal champion for customer needs, ensuring their priorities are reflected in technical and operational plans.
  • Advocate for customer success through thought leadership, case studies, and innovation showcases.

Program & Technology Alignment

  • Align customer innovation roadmaps with Koch’s technology platforms and scalable solutions.
  • Monitor regulatory and quality standards to ensure compliance in highly regulated industries.

Market Expansion & Strategic Initiatives

  • Explore new areas for collaboration such as sensors, personalization, authentication, sustainability, and data integration.
  • Support go-to-market strategies and commercialization plans for customer-developed products.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in innovation, customer development, marketing strategy, or product management.
  • Proven success in driving growth through customer partnerships, especially in medical or platform technology sectors.
  • Experience in startups, consulting, or rapid prototyping environments is highly valued.
  • Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and engage directly with customers.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for customer success and business growth.
