Job Description

As an experienced Indian Cook at Sajee GmbH, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of authentic South and North Indian dishes, as well as tandoori specialties. You will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes from both South and North Indian cuisines, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
  • Expertly handle tandoori cooking, including marinating meats and vegetables, and cooking them to perfection in a tandoor oven.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared according to the restaurant's recipes and standards, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
  • Manage and oversee kitchen staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor food stock and place orders as necessary, ensuring fresh and high-quality ingredients are always available.
  • Collaborate with the head chef and management to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Ensure timely and efficient preparation of meals during busy service periods.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of food allergies, dietary restrictions, and food safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Indian Cook, with expertise in both South and North Indian cuisines.
  • Proficiency in tandoori cooking techniques and use of a tandoor oven.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking methods.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in the kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
