Role Purpose

The HR and Operations Support Associate plays a pivotal role in executing key aspects of Human Resource Management within the UNOQUIP Group. This position requires close collaboration with the Group Leadership Team (GLT) and the line managers of each employee.

In this capacity, the associate will manage the monthly payroll across all countries where UNOQUIP employs staff, coordinating with relevant external payroll providers regarding salary changes, absenteeism, working hour adjustments, and time management. Additionally, the associate will engage with external recruiters/platforms as needed and seek legal advice for complex matters.

Moreover, the HR and Operations Support Associate will oversee the internal HRIS (Human Resources Information System, Factorial), ensuring compliance with both legal and organizational requirements. The role also entails supporting the Systems and Operations Manager by acquiring expertise in financial and supply chain processes, as well as internal systems such as Business Central and Power BI. The associate will provide accurate, timely, and relevant data to the business, performing ad-hoc data analysis to aid in management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Align with GLT and hiring managers on talent acquisition strategies and search channels.
  • Support recruitment and selection processes to ensure the hiring of the best candidates for each role.
  • Ensure the hiring process and onboarding of new employees are conducted and documented according to company procedures.

Objectives and Performance Management

  • Support the development of company, team, and individual objectives and their measurements throughout the year.
  • Ensure that all employees agree to their annual individual objectives.
  • Facilitate mid-year and annual reviews using the Company’s HRIS (Factorial), promoting meaningful discussions between employees and line managers.
  • Document outcomes and actions to recognize high performance, fostering individual professional development when appropriate.

Monthly Payroll Processing

  • Gather necessary inputs for payroll processing, including changes in salary, working conditions, and personal situations of employees.
  • Facilitate monthly payroll processing through external service providers, ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations.
  • Communicate with GLT about any required changes promptly.

Operations Support

  • Develop a foundational understanding of key business processes within UNOQUIP Group, including product ordering, inventory management, sales management, and cash collections.
  • Assist the Systems and Operations Manager in daily tasks by developing relevant recurring and ad-hoc analytics and KPIs using Business Central and Power BI systems.
  • Take on specific tasks as needed to ensure business continuity.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business Management or HR Management.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in operational HR matters (recruiting, performance management, payroll).
  • Operational exposure in sales support, supply chain, or finance is advantageous.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in payroll processing systems.
  • Sound understanding of labor laws across various jurisdictions in Europe (working times, contractual requirements, etc.).
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is essential; proficiency in other languages is beneficial.

Working Conditions

This role is office-based but can also be performed remotely, adhering to the Company’s policies. Occasional travel across Europe may be required for team meetings and other events.
