Main Tasks

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Strategy at each location where Sodexo operates. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing national legislation and comparing it with Group requirements to develop health, safety, and environmental procedures within the local Sodexo management system for all on-site services.
  • Maintaining the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
  • Conducting risk assessments.
  • Developing and delivering HSE training programs.
  • Managing incidents and administering the SALUS system for systematic registration of all accidents, near misses, and observations.
  • Preparing comprehensive reports on occupational health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Conducting HSE audits on-site and preparing for external audits.
  • Building supportive relationships with operational teams to foster behavior change and achieve optimal outcomes in occupational health and safety.
  • Collaborating closely with building technology teams to ensure the seamless integration of HSE requirements into technical operations and facility processes.
  • Supporting HSE implementation and operational readiness at our new site in Lucerne, ensuring alignment with Sodexo standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to the delivery of high-quality services within the country, on time and within budget, while meeting key performance indicators.

Competencies / Personal Specification

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A university degree in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
  • A certificate as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience in occupational safety.
  • Proactive and analytical with the ability to work collaboratively at all organizational levels.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
  • Proficiency in German and English (intermediate level – B1 or equivalent); knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Educational experience in work safety, project, and process management.
