Main Tasks
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s HSE Strategy at each site where we operate. Your role will encompass a variety of critical tasks aimed at safeguarding health, safety, and the environment.
- Review national legislation, compare it with Group requirements, and develop tailored health, safety, and environmental procedures within the local Sodexo management system.
- Maintain the local Sodexo HSE Management System to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.
- Develop and facilitate engaging HSE training sessions for staff.
- Manage incident reporting and oversee the SALUS system for systematic registration of accidents, near misses, and observations.
- Prepare detailed reports concerning occupational health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Conduct HSE audits on-site, focusing on occupational health, safety, and environmental standards, and assist with external audits.
- Support and build relationships with operational teams to foster behavioral change and achieve optimal results in health and safety.
- Collaborate closely with the building technology teams to seamlessly integrate HSE requirements into technical operations and facility processes.
- Support HSE implementation and operational readiness at our new site in Lucerne, ensuring alignment with Sodexo standards and local regulations.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-quality services across the country, ensuring timeliness, budget adherence, and achievement of key performance indicators.
Competencies / Personal Specification
- University graduate in Facility Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
- Certification as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
- A minimum of 1 year of work experience in occupational safety.
- Proactive, analytical, and able to collaborate with teams at all levels of the organization.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
- Fluency in German and English (intermediate - B1 or equivalent); proficiency in French is a plus.
- Experience in project and process management related to workplace safety.
