Main Tasks

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Strategy across all our operational sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing national legislation, comparing it with Group requirements, and developing health, safety, and environmental procedures tailored to the local Sodexo management system for all services provided on site.
  • Maintaining the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
  • Conducting risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement necessary controls.
  • Developing and delivering HSE training sessions for staff.
  • Managing incidents and administrating the SALUS system, which includes the systematic registration of all accidents, near misses, and observations on site.
  • Preparing reports related to occupational health, safety, and environmental areas.
  • Conducting HSE audits on site and preparing for and accompanying external audits.
  • Building relationships with operational teams to drive behavioral change and achieve optimal results in occupational health and safety.
  • Collaborating closely with the building technology teams to ensure seamless integration of HSE requirements into technical operations and facility processes.
  • Supporting HSE implementation and operational readiness at our new site in Lucerne, ensuring alignment with Sodexo standards and local regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to the delivery of high-quality service in the country, on time and within budget, while meeting key performance indicators.

Competencies / Personal Specification

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications and competencies:

  • University graduate in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
  • Possession of a certificate as an Occupational Safety Specialist.
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in occupational safety.
  • Proactive mindset with strong analytical skills, capable of collaborating across all organizational levels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
  • Intermediate proficiency in German and English (B1 level or equivalent); knowledge of French is a plus.
  • Experience in project and process management within the realm of work safety.
  • A strong commitment to client satisfaction and quality of services provided.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix organization, showcasing initiative and strong self-organization skills.
  • A generalist perspective with a keen interest in diverse topics and projects.
  • High empathy and intercultural competence.
  • Meticulous attention to detail coupled with strong critical and reflective thinking skills.
  • Experience in business consulting.
