Main Tasks

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring the adaptation and deployment of Sodexo’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Strategy at each site where Sodexo operates.
  • Reviewing national legislation, comparing it with Group requirements, and developing health, safety, and environmental procedures within the local Sodexo management system for all services provided on-site.
  • Maintaining the local Sodexo HSE Management System.
  • Conducting risk assessments.
  • Developing and delivering HSE training sessions.
  • Managing incidents and administrating the SALUS system for the systematic registration of all accidents, near misses, and observations on-site.
  • Preparing reports related to occupational health, occupational safety, and environmental matters.
  • Conducting HSE audits on-site, particularly in the areas of occupational health, safety, and environmental protection, as well as preparing for and accompanying external audits.
  • Supporting and building relationships with operational teams to drive behavior change and achieve the best results in occupational health and safety.
  • Contributing to the delivery of high-quality services in the country, ensuring timely completion, adherence to budget, and achievement of key performance indicators.

Competencies / Personal Specification

  • University graduate in Facilities Management, Health & Safety, Chemistry, or Environmental Protection.
  • Certification as an occupational safety specialist.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience in occupational safety.
  • Proactive and analytical mindset, capable of collaborating with teams at all organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 1-2 days per week.
  • Proficiency in German and English (intermediate - B1 or equivalent); knowledge of French is an advantage.
  • Experience in project and process management related to workplace safety.
